Nexus, which offers flight support services across a growing international network, has signed a memorandum of understanding with XYBase, a global leader in airport operations management systems, to pursue mutual interests. The joint-venture agreement will see XYBase help Nexus to grow its business in South East Asia and China, while Nexus will provide guidance for XYBase in the Middle East, India and Africa. Both companies have worked together previously, but not on this scale.
Abdullah Al Sayed, founder and chairman of Nexus, said, “We had an immediate affinity for XYBase, as they are aggressive and entrepreneurial like us, and share a global vision for the growth of their business. We started talking to XYBase’s owners, and discovered that our two businesses were highly complementary with little overlap. They help airports with sophisticated software, technology and service solutions just as we do the same for operators. We realized we could help each other as we expand globally.”
Suhaimee Abu Hassan, president of XYBase, which is based in Malaysia, added, “We are very excited to enter into this partnership with Nexus, and we are already seeing opportunities to work together for mutual reward. Nexus brings a unique skillset in aviation operations management that links nicely with our airport management solutions.”
