Signature Flight Support Corporation has joined forces with the Aviation Community Foundation (ACF) to promote the aviation industry to the next generation of aviation professionals. ACF is a non-profit organization working with a mission to foster an environment of collaboration between aviation education charities, aviation education programs, and aviation companies.
Maria Sastre, president and chief operating officer for Signature Flight Support, commented, “The business and general aviation industry is facing a rapidly approaching shortfall of aviation professionals across the entire industry, ranging from pilots to A&Ps to service personnel at airports and FBOs.
“Signature is proud to play a role in the Aviation Community Foundation’s mission and has every confidence that this organization will have a positive impact on the future of aviation students seeking careers in this fantastic industry.”
In addition to direct financial support, Signature will use its pilot rewards program as one of the funding sources. Signature TailWins rewards flight crews with points for purchases of fuel and services at Signature locations, and members can donate their points to the charity.
