London City Airport officially opens its new Business Lounge on Monday, March 20 – it will offer a premium customer experience to all passengers for £35 (US$42) per person. Housed in a new area of the airport’s Private Jet Centre, the lounge is easily accessible from the main terminal via a private taxi shuttle.
Open to passengers traveling on any airline, the 50ft² center offers a complimentary selection of food, snacks, refreshments and alcoholic beverages. It features stylish, comfortable surrounds, with hand-made furniture from sofa.com, a flatscreen TV and charging points, plus free wi-fi. The facility can accommodate 30 people.
Passengers must check in their luggage before heading to the Private Jet Center, and allow 30 minutes to return to the terminal for their flight. Also available is the First Class Lounge, with its own easy baggage drop and security clearance, costing £95 (US$115) per person. In 2016, 52% of London City Airport’s 4.5 million passengers traveled for business.
Chris Clayton, customer service manager, London City Airport Jet Centre, said, “London City Airport’s new Business Lounge is the perfect option for passengers who want first class hospitality, comfort and privacy. Our priority is our passengers and the team will always go the extra mile to ensure they have what they need to keep their airport experience memorable and stress-free.”
