Former Tri-State Aero has expanded Indiana operations with new charter service and upgraded terminal facilities to enhance regional private aviation access.
United Companies Air Center has introduced charter services at Evansville Regional Airport, marking a significant expansion for the facility’s sole FBO.
The company, formerly known as Tri-State Aero, implemented the changes in January 2024.
“We’re passionate about aviation, customer care and enhancing access for our community,” said Doug Petitt, president of United Companies Air Center, and Executive vice president and chief people officer of United Companies.
“Charter services felt like a natural extension of our full-service FBO and maintenance offerings, connecting more people in our region with private flight services.”
The new charter operation provides flights for up to eight passengers in a CJ3 aircraft. The service operates 24 hours daily, serving both business and leisure travelers at Evansville Regional Airport (KEVV).
The FBO unveiled a new 10,000-square-foot terminal in January. The facility includes passenger and pilot lobbies, flight-planning rooms, and conference facilities with 24/7 surveillance.
A new 12,000-square-foot hangar with 28-foot doors includes 3,500 square feet of office space. The facility maintains 100,000 square feet of existing hangar space and a ramp exceeding 200,000 square feet.
The FBO provides quick turns, fuel discount programs, GPUs, aircraft detailing, pilot supplies, catering, crew and rental cars, and ramp-side auto access. As an Avfuel-branded location, the facility offers AVTRIP rewards, including points for maintenance services, Contract Fuel pricing, and transactions through the Avfuel Pro Card.
