VOO, a B2B software platform for booking business aviation flights, has announced the arrival of its new empty leg feature.
This customized addition responds to market demand, offering brokers and operators a dedicated tool for efficiently visualizing as well as utilizing empty flights and providing cost-effective flight options to their clients.
This essential new feature empowers brokers to efficiently search, and filter available empty legs based on their specific criteria.
By inputting departure and arrival locations and defining a relevant search radius, as well as preferred departure dates, brokers can easily identify suitable options and good deals.
By expanding the data source to include empty legs from both VOO bookings and connected flight management systems, VOO ensures a wider selection of empty-leg-options for brokers to choose from, increasing the chances of finding suitable options for their clients.
Brokers can find cost-effective empty legs and request a price for these flights directly through the system.
This enables brokers to offer attractive deals to their clients while converting empty flights into passenger flights.
This tool not only benefits brokers but also offers operators a seamless way to manage and benefit from empty sectors.
Once a broker submits a price request for a suitable empty leg, a flight folder is automatically created, allowing the operator to review the calculated price based on the requested number of passengers and adjust it if necessary or directly send the flight folder as a booking offer to the broker, initiating the booking process.
VOO’s empty leg feature ensures transparent communication and facilitates bookings.
Brokers initially do not see the price until the operator changes the status to booking offer, providing clarity and control throughout the process.
The broker would be informed of the price once the operator changes the status to “booking offer,” and the broker can then proceed to book the flight by accepting the “booking offer.”
“VOO’s intelligent system automatically calculates discounts on empty sectors, making itself a valuable tool for brokers and operators. While our platform has always considered positioning sectors in pricing calculations, now we are introducing a dedicated empty leg section to make them visible and to meet market demand. This feature provides even greater transparency and allows operators to easily identify potential cost savings,” said Robert Plhak, CEO at VOO flights.
